Steve Xydas, M.D., is the chief of the Columbia University Division of Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center and co-director of the Mount Sinai Heart Institute. Dr. Xydas is board certified in cardiac and general surgery and is an expert in minimally invasive, open, endovascular, and transcatheter approaches to a full spectrum of serious cardiac diseases, including valve disease, coronary disease, and aortic aneurysms. He has extensive experience in valve-sparing aortic root repairs and innovative treatments to thoracic aneurysms.
