The Prevention, Education, and Treatment (P.E.T.) Center is operated by Jackson and the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County, is committed to the well-being and health of its community. The center’s mission is to provide prevention, education, and treatment of HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases. Its focus is on early intervention followed by primary care services, including medical care, dental care, case management, nutritional services, and psychiatric care. The P.E.T. Center facilitates referrals to Jackson Memorial Hospital and other Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program medical providers for specialized services, as needed.
